We offer our harvest to households like yours. Working directly with you, without the intermediary of stores or wholesalers, gives us the opportunity to provide the freshest quality and the most competitive organic prices. This system is known as Subscription Farming, Community Supported Agriculture, or most simply, a CSA
This Is How It Works:
With a preseason payment, you can purchase a "share" of our farm's harvest . You then receive a weekly box of our freshest, seasonal produce during the course of the CSA season.
A Shared Commitment:
When you sign up, you dedicate yourself to being our customer for the session you have chosen to participate in, thus providing us a secure market -- a welcome measure of certainty in the fickle world of farming! We, in turn, dedicate ourselves to being your farmers, providing you with a varied, nutritious vegetable diet. As a customer of the CSA it is your responsibility to pick-up or arrange for pick-up of your box in your absence. If you are unable it will be donated to a local soup kitchen.
Shared Risk; Shared Reward
We do our very best to bring you a beautiful and bountiful box each week, but since our boss, Nature, provides no guarantees -- we can't offer any either. One of the premises of a Community Supported Agriculture program is that the shareholder shares, through the veggies, the farmers' experience of nature's mischief (and blessings).
Not To Worry!
The weather woes would probably never rob you of all your veggies. Even with the extreme weather we experienced this past year we were able to fill our shareholders' boxes every week.
Session: Winter (Sold Out for 2012)
Number of Weeks: 10
Dates: January 11th -March 14th
Share Cost: Half Share $180, Full Share $340, payment of 50% down and balance by Feb. 8 or pay in full
Fall and Winter CSA will include the following over the course of the season:
Broccoli, Cauliflower, Kale, Cabbage, Carrots, Many varieties of Lettuce, Asian Greens, Turnips, Radish, Sweet potato, Winter squash.
Session: Spring / Summer
Number of Weeks: 18
Dates: April 26th -August 23rd
Share Cost: Half Share $342, Full Share $630, payment of 50% down and balance by Jul. 14 or pay in full
Spring / Summer CSA will include the following over the course of the season:
Broccoli, Lettuce, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Radish, Turnip, Squash, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Melons, Peppers, Eggplant, Beans, Corn, Edamame, Strawberries, Blueberries
Session: Falll
Number of Weeks: 11
Dates: October 11th -December 20th
Share Cost: Half Share $209, Full Share $385, payment of 50% down and balance by Nov. 14 or pay in full
D&A Farm offers 3 CSA Sessions, Winter, Spring/Summer and Fall. With locations in Griffin, Zebulon, and Atlanta picking up on Wednesday's. And locations in Macon, and Forsyth picking up on Thursday's.
Logistics:
To become a member of the CSA fill out the Order form, using the link below, then send payment via check to 19556 Hwy 18 E Zebulon GA, 30295. By becoming a member of the CSA you will be responsible for picking up your box at the dedicated location and time. If you are not able to pick up your box please make arrangements with a friend, relative or neighbor to pick up your box. If there are uncontrollable circumstances you may reach us at 404-392-6364. All unclaimed boxes will be donated to a local soup kitchen.
